You will fast run out of credits if you continue buying camos, signals and ships at the same time. Maybe I should have worded it a bit more clearly. Aside from fact that elite XP can be converted using doubloons but that's really overkill in my opinion. You can get them from containers (unlocked simply by earning XP, you don't need to spend XP on containers, though you can pay RL money for them) and as rewards for activities, though if you always want the percentage bonuses of camos and signals you're going to end up having to open your wallet. Even (some of) the cosmetic items (camos and signals) give you percentage advantages in certain areas. It isn't like path of exile where the only paid items are cosmetic. WOWS is very low on the P2W scale, though it still incorporates some p2w elements. However if you loved the ship one tier down from it and have it "elited" (all available modules researched) you earn more "free" xp (which can be used to bypass that ship you hate) and if you buy das geld dabloonitics you can convert ship locked XP to "free xp" That said XP is tied to the ship you got it in and some ships really suck so of you want to climb the tech tree, chances are you'll be stuck grinding exp in a ship you hate. If you take it to mean "have percentage advantages in almost everything over people with the same level of skill as me" then it is.Įxperience and skill mean a lot in WOWS, if you buy a top tier premium ship after your first few matches you'll be matched with top tier players, good luck in surviving long in a battle if you don't really know what to do. If you take P2W as "throw money at it and get an instant I win button" it isn't.
